Landscape media publication Turf Magazine recently walked readers through a private, behind-the-scenes look at our design for the 2017 Pasadena Showcase in this feature.
As the 18th consecutive year that we participated in the Pasadena Showcase, we wanted to make the project special.
Porcelain Pavers
Turf featured how we used porcelain pavers to create a space for this custom waterfall table. We used Belgard pavers for this 7,000 square foot home that created a wood-like finish without wood that naturally deteriorates. The pavers should last a lot longer than a wooden deck would. Additionally, these pavers are stain resistant so they are expected to outlive traditional pavers.
Custom Waterfall Table
With the porcelain pavers laying the foundation for the patio, we placed a custom-built concrete table in the middle. This fifteen-feet long table was made by 5 Feet From the Moon in Santa Cruz, California. We’ve gotten a lot of great feedback about this table because waterfall runs down the center of it.
The water is surrounded by a miniature drought-tolerant landscape on the table and the water runs to ultimately reach a pond-less water feature section. It’s also at a slight decline so that the water can travel downwards!
